Lighthouse Route
Sea-faring folklore and fresh salt air surround travellers along this trail that skirts the rugged southern shore of Nova Scotia. Routes 3 and 103 take visitors from Yarmouth on the province’s southern tip to Halifax-Dartmouth. Fishing villages, beaches, parks, and, of course, lighthouses are as present as the ancient tales of pirates and daring sea rescues. The route takes its name from the many lighthouses that dot its coastline.
