Near North

The gateway to Northern Ontario features lakes, rivers, forest, beaches, and an amazing network of trails.  Autumn’s artwork and spring floral awakenings, windswept pines and ancient rocky shores, and recreational waterways can all be found in the Near North.  It is the world’s largest fresh-water archipelago.  Paddle the historic Mattawa and Sturgeon Rivers, tracing the same route used by Voyageurs over 200 years ago.  A great place for the young and the young at heart to experience Ontario’s natural paradise.
